1. used to express affirmation or assent or to mark the addition of something emphasizing and amplifying a previous statement
The phrase "Just say yes" has been sort of an inside joke in our relationship from the beginning. On one of our first dates/late night walks, Joe thought it would be funny to jokingly propose to me and I obviously told him no. That led to Joe deciding that "our song" needed to be Just Say Yes and the message he put in my fortune cookie on the day l he proposed.
My favorite phrase to say to Joe is "deal or deal?" as in, the only right answer here is yes. And sometimes I'll catch him saying, "Just say yes wife!" to me when he knows he's presenting something that's going to get a no.
What 'Y' word would you use to describe your marriage or relationship?
