Dressing Up for Spring Date Night

It's been spring for about a month now, I know, but I'm really enjoying the perfect weather, longer days and signs of life every where! We haven't gone on many date nights that are super appropriate for spring yet so I decided to create a list of things we could do to enjoy the season! What would you add to the list?

After months of cold winter weather, it's time to get outside with your spouse and enjoy the warm, spring air with these fun date nights.

Grill something new on the barbecue together - We look forward to nights when we are home together early enough to cook dinner outside on the grill. Something about it makes the most normal night seem special. We are both cooking together, having fun experimenting with new foods and we have great conversations while the food cooks and while we eat it.

Take a walk and look at the blossoms on the trees and the spring flowers - Going on walks together has always been mine and Joe's thing. It keeps us active but gives us time to slow down and just enjoy each other's company. We get so excited when the weather turns from winter to spring and we can get out and enjoy fresh air and quality conversation.

After or during a rain storm, go outside and splash in all the puddles - There's a kid in all of us, and whether you do this barefoot or with your rain boots on, I guarantee that you'll laugh a lot and feel so free afterward. You will probably be cold afterward so take a warm bath together and/or cuddle up on the couch with a warm blanket.

Sit outside and enjoy a rain storm with a cup of hot chocolate - I really love rain showers and thunderstorms. They create such a romantic setting and the world is so clean and peaceful afterward. Sitting outside during a storm and then taking a walk in the quiet afterward is so calming to me. If you have a covered area, sitting outside to watch the storm together or even sitting inside watching out the window can be so nice, even if you don't talk.

Find a local hike, pack a picnic and enjoy nature together - This is probably not one that we will get to do this spring. Right now a hike would probably put me into labor and we're trying to avoid that for a week or two, and I won't be able to go on a hike after the baby comes until it's summer and really hot. If someone wants to do this one for me, I'd love to live vicariously through you!

Dressing Up for Date Night

I'm obsessed with Pink Blush's spring outfits right now. I've had my eye on the shirt I'm wearing above for a few months now, so I was excited when it came back in stock! It's hard to resist buying too much since I'm not going to be pregnant much longer. I'm not going to lie, I've been slacking off a little bit on getting dressed up for date night, but I'm trying to be better. We'll see how well I do when most of our date nights are at home and it's tempting to stay in my pajamas all day and not do my hair or make up because I'm on maternity leave. I definitely have my favorite date night outfits, and I'm glad that the ones I have from Pink Blush will be a good transition back to my normal clothes. I look forward to buying things from the women's store in a few months!
