I know I promised that I was going to post two of these last week so that I could catch up, but that didn't happen. So, today, you get two!
My friend Bethany used to post these awesome His & Her Q&A blogs every week or so before she retired from writing over at Love the Grows. I didn't get the opportunity to participate in all of them, mostly because I started following her blog halfway in, but I loved the ones that I did participate in so a while ago, I decided to post them over here on my blog and finish up the ones that I hadn't done yet. It has been fun, and I will continue to post ten of them ever Friday until we finish the list.
1. What is something you're scared of?
His: "I'm scared of.. stuff. You know... that a war between Israel and Iran will start the prophesied war between Gog and Magog." (I'm not sure how to spell that last one...)
Hers: I am majorly afraid of being alone in the dark. I'm 24 and I am afraid of the dark, it's pathetic!
2. What is a household chore you HATE doing?
His: "Loading the dishwasher and taking out the garbage."
Hers: I hate putting laundry away, and I hate cleaning the bathroom.
3. What is something you feel guilty about or wish you had done better this week?
His: "I don't know. Working out!" (Yeah....we are failing at that over here.)
Hers: I think lately, most of my guilt is over the fact that I haven't been dedicated to working out the past few weeks. It's been a while since I've done it, and I was doing so well. I just need to get back into the habit so that I crave working out rather than dreading it.
4. Who is your celebrity girl crush?
His: "Katy Perry"
Hers: Jennifer Lawrence. I watched the Oscars the other day, and yep, girl crush!
5. Future son's name?
His: "Fredrick, and I'll call him Ick! Hahahahaha, I made that up just now, I'm a good man."
Hers: I don't know on this one, it changes all the time, so this will be something that will just have to be decided when the time comes.
6. How did you two meet?
His: "At a church activity."
Hers: We had a seminary class together in high school, but we officially "met" at an institute class one night when we were put into a group, just the two of us, to present something to the class.
7. Describe a typical day in your life. (Weekday.)
His: "I wait for you to leave, I shower, I go to work and I come home. uh huh.."
Hers: An ideal typical day would look something like this: I'd wake up by 6:30 at the latest so that I could get in half an hour to an hour of working out, get ready for the day and make it to work on time. I spend a large chunk of my day at the office doing whatever needs done and then at 5, I head home. From there I make dinner, clean an area of my house, do homework, watch TV, hang out with my husband, work on a little project, and get to bed by 10:30. That is how all of my days are planned to be, but sometimes I'm lazy and don't work out or make dinner or get much real homework done, and we have random activities to go to some nights as well. Plus Wednesdays are a whole different story with it being my day off.
8. What would you like to do when you retire?
His: "Sit on my porch and drink Shasta." (This is kind of a weird story, maybe I'll tell it as part of one of my Money and Marriage posts, because it has to do with that.)
Hers: Live somewhere warm (like the beach) and travel a lot. But I'd still want to be close to family so that I could see my kids and grandkids and do things with them a lot.
9. What is a talent you wish you were better at?
His: "Um... understanding investments and public speaking." (Which is funny because I think he is fantastic at public speaking!"
Hers: I always wish that I had continued dancing. Maybe I'd be more graceful or coordinated and more in shape. Plus, I've always wanted to be able to dance.
10. Describe your other half in 3 words.
His: "Blogger, homeworker, haha, I don't know.. annoyed." "You are confident, um... umm... um... Can you make it one word, Sexysinger? Um... excited, super excited about everything." (I made him give a better answer, is that bad?)
Hers: Proud (the good kind), confident, fun-loving.
