My friend Bethany used to post these awesome His & Her Q&A blogs every week or so before she retired from writing over at Love the Grows. I didn't get the opportunity to participate in all of them, mostly because I started following her blog halfway in, but I loved the ones that I did participate in so a while ago, I decided to post them over here on my blog and finish up the ones that I hadn't done yet. It has been fun, and I will continue to post ten of them ever Friday until we finish the list.
There are going to be two Q&A posts this week (watch for the other one tomorrow) because last week I failed to finish this one and have it ready to post. It was a busy week, so I decided that it was ok to slack off on this blog a little bit.
1. What is something weird your spouse does while asleep?
His: "Attempts to jump off the bed, face first." (There was a spider in my bed while I was dreaming, I think, good thing husband woke up and caught me before I went overboard.)
Hers: Husband pulls the covers all the way up over his head and then he tilts his head back so that his nose isn't under the covers and he can breathe. It looks really funny, almost like he's drowning in his covers and is trying to keep his head above water.
2. Which of the 7 deadly sins are you? (anger, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony)
His: "Um... sloth sounds good because sometimes I like to watch TV all day long."
Hers: Hmm... that's a hard one. I would probably have to say gluttony. I can be selfish sometimes and put myself above other people and when I want something, I overindulge. Like when I let myself work on my blog, I spend a lot longer on it than I'd planned, if I want a treat, I eat way too many, etc.
3. What was your favorite hiding place as a kid?
His: "Under the bed! I don't know, I never hid."
Hers: My favorite hiding place? Huh, that's a hard one. I would probably think of a hiding place as more of an alone place. When we moved to Brigham City, I lived downstairs and I got my own room and bathroom, it was like my own little apartment. And again when we moved to Centerville, my room was always where I went to "hide" I guess.
4. What music artist do you love that your other half hates listening to?
His: "Probably Linkin' Park."
Hers: Mine would probably be more of a music genre. We agree on most music, but any time I'm listening to Showtunes Saturday Night (which lost its station and I'm sad about!!!), he moans and groans and is a big baby about it. Apparently listening to the songs when they aren't in the context of the show is boring, even if I am so nice and explain the plot and situation behind each song to him.
5. What has your other half recently done that made you love them more?
His: "When you used your bonus to pay debt off." (That was a hard thing for me to do. I really wanted to buy myself a new laptop instead.)
Hers: Last week, husband was over the top sweet to me. We spent a lot of time together this week. We went shopping, ate out, went on excursions, ate together at home, watched our favorite TV shows, went on random adventures, etc. He let me buy two fish and a big tank for them so that I can become a fish freak. I love spending time with my awesome husband!
6. What is your favorite hole-in-the-wall place to eat? (or favorite restaurant in general)
His: "Chiapas 3 in Merida Mexico. They have tacos al pastor." (Husband DREAMS about food from his mission ALL the time.)
Hers: It took me a while to think of this, but there is a really AMAZING donut shop and deli on the corner of State Street and 2700 South in Salt Lake City called Donut Deli. Their glazed donuts literally melt in your mouth! SOOOO good!
7. What do you admire most about your significant other?
His: "Oh! your singing, it's hot."
Hers: Joe has a lot of enthusiasm and dedication to the things that he enjoys, is good at, and pursues.
8. Ideally, where would you like to be 5 years from now?
His: "In a paid for house and you having your dreams come true I guess. ....me never home and things like that hahaha."
Hers: Five years from now I imagine that we will be living in a house in one of our favorite areas, with at least one kid, maybe another on the way. Joe will be running his businesses, probably just the two that he has now and enjoying just being him. I will be graduated from college, possibly a stay at home mom (I hope), still working in the salon a couple of times a week, and just enjoying life.
9. Who wears the pants?
His: "You like to think you do."
Hers: When we played the question game at my bridal shower, Joe answered that he tries to wear the pants but I always take them off. It was really funny, but probably true. We both wear the pants, it just depends on the situation.
10. What is your favorite/go-to YouTube video?
Hers: Right now, my favorite either has to be the I'm A Daddy and I Know It video or one of the many proposal videos out there. I'm a sucker for proposal videos.
